Application

Before you app
Applications are always open, but are processed every other Saturday. You can apply for any character from any canon as an OU or AU. You can also apply for an OCs. Be sure to copy the correct form below when you go to write your app.

Currently there can be only one version of each character within the Bastion. That character can be either OU or AU. This is subject to change at a later date.

The character limit is currently three. You can app up to two characters from the same canon, so long as the characters do not interact in canon and would not interact within the game. Exceptions to this rule will be allowed for special cases, so if you think you have a possible exception please contact a mod about it.

If you would like to app a fourth character, you must have passed the previous two ACs in order to do so. If you did not pass the previous two ACs, then we will reject your application.

Apps will be read in the order they are posted. If two people app the same character, we will make a decision on the first application before reading the second. The only exception to this rule is in the case of a reserve, where we will read the app from whoever has the reserve first. There are no app challenges.

Please read the rules, FAQ, and setting pages before applying. Also be sure to check the reserves page and taken page.

Please finish your app before posting. Once you are finished, post your application here. If you need more than one comment to post it, then respond to your first comment to finish your application.

If your application is accepted, be sure to read all the information and follow all of the steps in the acceptance post. If we ask you for revisions, you will have 72 hours to post those revisions. If you are rejected, you must wait two weeks before applying again.

As a note, OCs will be held to high standards. Do not skimp on details in any section of the application if you are planning to app an OC.

Character name: River Tam
Series: Firefly
Canon point: Following the bar fight in Serenity where River attacks everyone.
Summary:
River was born with privilege--she had both a wealthy family and an astounding intellect, as well as an older brother who would do anything for her. She loved learning and took full advantage of every opportunity available to her. At three, she was correcting her brother Simon's spelling, at eight she was correcting his textbooks, and by fourteen, she was already in a graduate program. That was when she heard about a special, government-sponsored academy, which she entered with the same enthusiasm.

The unfortunate reality was that the academy was a government research facility, where they experimented on the would-be students, altering their brains and conditioning them to be assassins and covert operatives. In River's case, she was also turned into a psychic. She eventually managed to send a coded letter to Simon telling him to get her out. Their parents didn't believe the message, and it took Simon two years and all of his considerable fortune to form the right contacts and plans to do it. Having smuggled her to the outer planets, Simon shipped out with the crew of the Serenity.

An Alliance agent had tracked them there and outed them as fugitives to the crew. Luckily for the Tams, Captain Reynolds was not especially Alliance-friendly, and after Simon proved his worth as a medic, he allowed the siblings to stay on board. During their eight months on Serenity, they managed to stay out of Alliance hands, but always remained somewhat alienated from the crew. Simon's focus was always too much on taking care of River to turn to his own needs or wants, and as for River, her mental state made it difficult for the others to bond with her, although she got to know the crew and the ship and came to love them.

Their presence did have its impact on the crew. A heist they pulled at a hospital on one of the central planets proved helpful for diagnosing River, but it also led to an incredibly close call with the Alliance operatives hunting her. Afterwards, the Serenity took jobs farther and farther out to avoid Alliance patrols. Eventually, the captain decided it was time River earn her keep by accompanying them on one of their jobs. When an attack by reavers turned the routine theft far more dangerous than any of them had anticipated, Simon decided Serenity was no longer a safe place for him and his sister. They got off at the next spaceport. River wandered out of Simon's watch and into a bar, where an advertisement subliminally triggered her combat skills. She took down nearly all of the bar's patrons, fighters or no, before Simon arrived to say the safe word and put her to sleep.

Personality
Above all, River has an insatiable curiosity and an eagerness to experience and learn. In her lucid moments, she's playful, compassionate, and friendly. She loves make-believe and revels in activity, especially dance. The few times we see her really smile during the series are when she's dancing or when she gets to see Simon excel at being a doctor. They share a deep love for each other, and seeing him fulfilled makes her happy. She does enjoy study, but she enjoys it most when it's unconventional, learned in the field or together with friends. She is completely aware of how much smarter she is than other people; Simon describes her as "a real brat," and she gets a kick out of trolling people.

Her personality, however, is complicated by her condition. Her positive traits often retreat behind a much more morbid and pessimistic exterior. Knowing what others are thinking and having no way to filter it out means that she is constantly aware of their darkest thoughts, however fleeting or uncharacteristic. Because of what was done to her brain, she also has very little control over her reaction to those thoughts. If something scares her, she can't push that feeling aside and maintain her focus; she has to feel scared. This makes her incredibly unpredictable, even to herself, as she could be triggered at any time by something someone around her says, does, or thinks. In spite of this, she is not sentimental, and she views the world with an analytical mind. When she's lucid, this means she can easily see the best solution or most likely outcome of a scenario. She just does the math. Unfortunately, she doesn't always process the world around her as it really is. She might see a gun as a stick or a book as the imagery it describes rather than sheets of paper.

River remembers how she used to be, and she is aware that her mind no longer functions the way it did, and it frustrates her. She can't rely on her own perceptions, and she often finds herself torn between following her gut, and believing what others tell her is actually going on. She trusts Simon, and he will nearly always try to calm her down from her outbursts and assure her that everything is fine; sometimes it is, and sometimes it isn't, and she can never be completely sure when what she's feeling is real and when it's just her mind playing tricks on her. She is understandably slow to trust people, as they could use this against her, but it also makes it difficult for her to trust herself.

After all of this, she considers herself to be "broken." She knows that, if she were in full control of herself, she could easily outdo anyone at just about anything. But she isn't. At times she fears this makes her a burden or even a danger to those around her, and she believes they would be better off without her. Although she knows that people care about her, she worries that she no longer really belongs anywhere and that she will never be well enough to belong. Even her good days she sometimes hates, because she knows they won't last. She desperately wants to be well and whole again, for herself and also so that the people around her don't have to spend so much energy taking care of her.

Powers:
River has no magical powers, but her brain has been surgically altered to turn her into a psychic. She can pick up on the thoughts of people around her, most commonly if she is in the same room with them, although she seems to pick up on more violent thoughts from farther away, as when she detected Reavers approaching the planet or the Hands of Blue men entering the hospital on Ariel. This is not an ability that she can control or even understand 90% of the time, so it would be always-on, but of course used with the permission of other players.

River has also been embedded with certain behavioral conditioning. The right trigger can turn her into a human weapon, an expert in martial arts and weapons combat, basically unstoppable. She engaged an entire room full of Reavers single-handedly, slaughtered them all, and came out of it ready to take on a platoon of Alliance soldiers. At her canon point, this is not a skillset she has easy access to. When faced with violence, she is more likely to wind up cowering on the floor than fighting back. If something triggers the behavior, she is also at risk of harming allies.

She's also just really, really smart.
Entry: River will need help getting to the Bastion. She's going to be kind of an emotional mess and also handcuffed.

Impmon/Beelzemon | Digimon Tamers | OU

Other characters: N/A

Character name: Impmon (rookie) | Beelzemon Blast Mode (mega)
Series: Digimon Tamers
Canon point: Right after he saves Suzie in the Runaway Locomon movie
Summary: When Impmon got into the real world, he found himself with two little kids, a brother and sister named Ai and Mako. Ai and Mako were Impmon’s unofficial tamers (as they didn’t have a digivice, they just decided to keep him) and he stayed with them for a while. However, they’re young and hadn’t learned how to share with each other, so they treated him like a toy they could fight over and would constantly argue and even cause him physical pain by pulling on each of his arms in a tug-of-war fashion. Their fighting drove Impmon to run away and left him with the opinion that all humans were awful, selfish and stupid creatures.

Impmon spent a lot of his time tormenting humans and getting a kick out of their fear of him, this left him with a boosted ego and a high opinion of his own power. However, when he discovered the Tamers and their partner digimon and how those digimon could digivolve because of their bonds with their tamers, Impmon became jealous and angry. He didn’t think it was fair that he had to be attached to someone he considered selfish who would just use him and treat him like a pet just to be stronger.

However, despite his best efforts, he began to actually become attached to the Tamers and digimon and they (especially Rika and Renamon) showed concern for him. However, this also made him angry and in a desperate attempt to prove he was strong on his own, he took on the horse Deva, Indramon who was an Ultimate level and easily defeated Impmon. Badly wounded, humiliated and with his ego crushed, Impmon hid away and gave in to the idea that he would just die and no one would care, thinking he probably deserved it that way. That was when the dog Deva, Caturamon, found him and offered him a chance to finally have that power he’d been craving, the only stipulation was that he had to destroy the Tamers and their digimon. Impmon was torn on the decision at first, recognizing that the group was the closest thing he’d ever had to friends, but his desperation to digivolve causes him to agree. He gains the power to turn into a mega thanks to the Deva’s ruler, the Digimon sovereign, and becomes Beelzemon.

As Beelzemon, he’s consumed with the seemingly endless limits to his power and goes on a destructive rampage through the digital world, loading the data of every enemy he defeats and increasing his power. This rampage leads him to finally facing the Tamers and in the initial skirmish, he destroys the partner digimon of Jeri, Leomon. One of the other tamers, Takato, becomes enraged by this and ends up fusing with his partner digimon to become the mega, Gallantmon. Gallantmon and Beelzemon fight and Beelzemon very nearly wins except he gets distracted by another of the partner digimon interfering and Gallentmon gets the upper hand on him. Gallantmon is about to destroy Beelzemon when Jeri demands he spare him. When questioned, she explains she hates Beelzemon for killing Leomon but she doesn’t want to see anyone else die.

The mercy he’s shown kills Beelzemon’s power lust and causes him to walk away with guilt and shame. Still haunted by Jeri’s heartbroken expression, he’s found by some friends of the digimon he destroyed and attacked, but he doesn’t fight back because he no longer wants the power. The assault causes him to de-digivolve to Impmon and he, again, resolves to die alone with his guilt. However, Rika and Renamon find him and convince him to come back home with them. Once they’re home, he leaves the group and decides to find Ai and Mako again. When he does, they welcome him with open arms, love and care and tell him they’ve stopped fighting so they won’t make Impmon leave again. Touched by their care, Impmon finds that strength through them he’d been wanting and is able to digivolve back into Beelzemon, this time as the real version and not the evil one.

Soon after, he learns Jeri has been captured by an evil entity known as D-reaper and becomes desperate to save her, he doesn’t stop and nearly succeeds, but when he uses one of Leomon’s attacks from the data he uploaded, it scares Jeri and she rejects his help. By the time she realizes he wants to save her and cares about her, it’s too late and Beelzemon is fatally wounded by the D-reaper. His data starts to disperse as he’s erased, but he’s saved and is able to de-digivolve back into a seriously wounded Impmon. Impmon is given back to Ai and Mako whose care and dedication to not letting him give up and die of his injuries finally spawns a digivice for them to share and officially made them his tamers.

After the D-reaper is destroyed, Impmon gets the chance to ask Jeri for her forgiveness and, much to his surprise, she gives it. Right after, though, all of the digimon are forced to return to the digital world. About four months later, a new portal opens and the digimon are allowed to return to living with their tamers. Two months after that, a digimon known as Locomon began going ballistic and racing around the train tracks around town. Beelzemon tries to take it out, but it takes out his motorcycle, which sends him flying and knocks him out of the fight. It puts him in a place to fight off some attacking digimon that target one of the Tamers and her partner and he saves them.

Impmon started the show as very angry and bitter and more than a little childish when it came to his motivations and reactions. He’d look for what was fun and if something bored him, he’d walk away and sometimes what ‘bored’ him was simply situations where he felt inferior. He was easily riled up by teasing or insults and thrived on the attention of others, often throwing a bit of a tantrum when he didn’t get that attention.

Impmon by the end of the series still has a lot of these traits, but they’ve either toned down or changed. He’s been through some things and seen what kind of person he was and changed because he didn’t like it; he’s a lot more mature now than he used to be. That said, he’s still easy to rile up with teasing and challenges, however, he can also walk away from it if it’s leading in a truly negative direction or if taking the bait would hurt someone else, he’s a lot more conscious of his actions now that he’s seriously hurt someone because of them.

He’s still fun-loving and fairly short-sighted in his desires, if he gets a goal in mind, he’ll do as much as he can to achieve it, whether it’s obtaining something or saving someone. His temper is still firmly in place, though it has dampened some, but he’ll easily throw around harsh words and insults whether he means them or not. Even after he truly became friends with the other Tamers and digimon, he still called them by derivative nicknames, they just held affection in them instead of malice.

He’s a lot more confident now that he can turn into Beelzemon because he knows he has power and he knows he has power for the right reasons, as something Leomon tried to tell him before he was killed was that having power for power’s sake would get him nowhere and that was a lesson he learned through Ai, Mako and Jeri. As Beelzemon, a lot of his personality is the same with the exception that he’s a lot calmer most of the time. Teasing will still get under his skin and if someone he cares about is threatened he’ll fly into violence, as he’s very much the hit first ask questions later type. One thing to note is that there is a very easy way to get Impmon to listen to someone: approach him with respect and he’ll respect you, or give him food.

Powers: As with most digimon, Impmon as himself and as Beelzemon has a ‘move-set’ that function like pokemon attacks, just now with the use limitation put on them from the setting. These move-sets and who they belong to are listed below. Each of the described moves will be ‘three a day’ powers since they require conscious thought, with one exception given to ‘Corona Destroyer.’

Impmon
Bada-Boom - Impmon summons small fireballs (up to five, one for each finger) that are made of fire and darkness. It’s a low-level attack that may cause anything from 1st to 3rd degree burns depending on how close they pass to skin or if there’s several aimed at the same spot or if he makes one large ball in the palm of his hand instead of five separate ones and shoots it at a target, as that was shown to blow a hole into a thick briefcase.
Summon - A fire or ice elemental attack and more powerful than the bada-boom attack. Summon either calls a massive fireball the same size as Impmon or three large ice shards that fly at an enemy. Since it’s the same attack, no matter which element he chooses to use, the limit of three will apply no matter the element. (So only one ice and three fire or two ice and one fire, but not three of each.) This move is shown to take quite a bit of conscious effort and strength, meaning he would likely be fairly tired out after the three uses are expended.
Digivolving - Impmon is an unexplained special snowflake in his own canon in that he can digivolve between rookie level and mega level and completely bypass champion and ultimate, in fact, these levels are never canonically mentioned or shown and are unknown. The power to do this initially was given to him by the Digimon sovereign, explaining how he got it, but not how he then retained it in the human world. That said, it was retained, so he can still digivolve to Beelzemon (Blast-Mode) when he wants to. Since his rookie level requires the least amount of energy to maintain, that will be his default form.

Beelzemon
Double Impact - Beelzemon as two double-barrel guns that he shoots like a normal gun, the bullets themselves can cause damage, but they can also cause proximity damage if something is close enough. (Like leaving a small crater instead of a hole if it hit concrete.)
Darkness Claw - Beelzemon swings his arm in an upward arch, claws up, and causes an aura of darkness to exude from the motion, causing damage both from physical contact and from the element.
Corona Blaster - Beelzemon’s other weapon is an attachment to his arm made from fusing his data with Mako’s toy gun. It acts like a mixture between a shotgun and a bazooka and has two attacks, one of them being Corona Blaster. An energy ball is formed and shot from the ‘jaws’ of the gun in a focused, high-impact blast.
Corona Destroyer - The other of the two attacks from the attachment, Corona Destroyer is an over powered plot-attack that would not only be considered overkill but could probably obliterate a building if Beelzemon aimed it at one. This is why it should have the greater limitation on it and should also sap a lot of energy from him with its use. He starts by drawing a magic circle that illuminates and fires off a large reddish blast that he then shoots consecutive shots through to double the damage.

Entry: He’ll be getting to Bastion on his own two wings.
Other: If he’s not allowed to be Beelzemon when he gets to the skyway or isn’t allowed to fly there, just let me know. In the case he’s allowed to be Beelzemon but can’t fly there, he could still get there on his own, but if he has to be Impmon, he probably wouldn’t be able to get there before the ground fell out from under him. He has short little legs and is only so fast

Black★Rock Shooter [AU] - REVISED

[personal profile] darkshooter 2015-04-25 05:04 am (UTC)(link)
*** ** --------------------------- ** ***

Player name: Solmedes (Sol)
Age: 29
Contact: [personal profile] solmedes, and my Plurk is much the same. PMing my character journals is a good way to get in contact with me, too.
Other characters: At the time of writing, none at Bastion. Each of my character journals has a copy of my muselist in them, though.

Character name: Black Rock Shooter.
Series: OVA.
AU info: This AU mainly comes in the form of post-canon developments; it'll be covered in more detail below.
Summary: (First, some wiki links: series and character.)

Shooter hails from a dimension parallel to Earth known as the Otherworld; within it, there are beings seemingly tied to counterparts in the real world. They are often shown at conflict with one another in the OVA, and no real rhyme or reason is ever given in the context of it (save one, but we'll get to that). Yheir abilities and even parts of their aesthetic seem geared around the concept of combat, and each seems to possess at least one signature weapon. Shooter herself carries the Rock Cannon, her presumed namesake.

(The Otherworlders never speak in the OVA, though it can be somewhat unreliably inferred from Shooter herself that they are capable of it.)

Within the OVA's context, what one can infer of Shooter's personality and motives comes largely from a single circumstance: her pursuit of Dead Master. The real-world counterparts of the two: schoolgirls by name of Mato Kuroi and Yomi Taknashi, respectively, who happen to be good friends...until their relationship starts to decline, thanks in part to Yomi's jealousy of Mato's budding friendship with another girl named Yuu. Dead Master apparently takes advantage of this and possesses Yomi, spiriting her away to the Otherworld. Poor Mato, of course, didn't get the memo and has no idea what's going on; she's heartbroken and sick with grief that a person so dear to her had disappeared without a trace.

Not long after is where Shooter herself comes in, reaching out to her Otherself and merging with her in similar fashion to Dead Master. It can be inferred from Shooter herself that the primary motivation is Mato: she misses Yomi deeply and wants her returned, and for Shooter, that seems to be well and good enough.

If you take the OVA at face value, much of what goes on with the Otherworlders as it relates to their personalities is up to interpretation, and a chunk of that can come from their battles with one another. Shooter herself gives the impression of someone without a lot of rambunctiousness or fire (as opposed to Othertypes like Black Gold Saw); she's calm, controlled, and direct. Her manner of communication appears to be so as well, as seen when she speaks with Mato. It appears that when she has a purpose in mind, she is dedicated entirely to it; when confronting Dead Master, her aim was never truly to destroy her, but rather persuade her to release Yomi, and she seemed to grasp the idea that simply beating her down wasn't necessarily the best way to achieve that.

When the confrontation with Dead Master reaches its conclusion, Shooter appears to show sorrow - something that no Otherworlder, to this point, had been shown to display. (This could be Mato's influence, or it could be Shooter herself; from the OVA alone, it's unclear.)

(With some irony, Shooter can be seen as a far closer match in personality to Strength [often abbreviated STR], the apparent Otherself of Yuu, than either Saw or DM.)

*--*
Canon section cuts off here; now we talk AU.

The aftermath of the ordeal with Dead Master was not particularly kind to Shooter. Brief though it was, her fusion with Mato had left behind an imprint of humanity, felt all the more keenly now that the two were no longer one. Her vast and barren world suddenly felt as lonely as it looked, and though she'd always known isolation, never before had she truly grasped what it meant. She wandered as she always had, but now her steps were heavy and painful; there was no defense against the grief, and it could not simply be beaten down.

Yomi's safe return was consolation at first, but it grew smaller over time. Mato had her friend again and that was well, but Shooter had no one. Even the heat of battle, so integral a part of her existence since earliest memory, felt so very hollow now. The contest could not soothe, nor the victory satisfy. Sometimes grief would become rage; on other occasions it would deepen. The fire of emotion brought victory to some bouts, and defeat to others. With the echoes of Mato yet to leave her, she could no longer do battle for its own sake; now there had to be a reason, a justification beyond survival, and none could ever be found here. There was no recourse...nothing left but suffering.

And so time passed. With no one to hear her burden, no one to tell who would care or soothe, Shooter's heart grew sick.

Over time, the land began to change as well. In the vast fields of rocky terrain, the ruins of man-made structures began to appear. Not the ancient, regal-looking architecture that one could find in the Otherworld, but more recent, more modern-looking designs. As well, the many chasms began to rise up, their depths lessening - and in some cases peeling away to reveal a strange, violet fluid. The mesas and peaks began to erode away, becoming ruins themselves. Shooter, who might not have noticed such changes before, found herself greatly distressed by these changes, but again could do nothing for it, save destroy the new structures in fits of rage - even that did little good, for the original ruins were fading, and there was no way to protect them.

But greater still were the changes in Shooter's neighbors.

The fighters of the Otherworld (and indeed the Otherworld itself) may have been dangerous, but they were all she had ever known, and in the wake of the upheavals they were her only source of stability. She came to realize this, and sought out their company. Even should battle be their only language, even if there could be no true companionship, Shooter could find the semblance of comfort in them, in the rivalry inspired by their contests - the one thing that seemed to remain normal.

If, of course, she could find them. In time, that came to be her purpose: the closest thing that she'd known to a real sense of it since Mato's fusion. If she could get one of them to understand more than battle...perhaps they could address the strange occurrences in their shared home. Perhaps they could agree on the importance of a shared threat...and answer it together.

But it was not to be.

The individuals she could find had also been overtaken by this mysterious force corrupting the land. Twisted, mutated, hideous things: Her neighbors had become demons, with hunger and ferocity beyond their original selves, and to Shooter this was more horrible than anything Dead Master had meted out. Fighters she didn't recognize began to manifest in the world as well, more monster than anything resembling human, and in all instances she was forced to destroy them completely - right down to their remnants - else they rise again and again.

Right about this time was when the dreadful metamorphosis began to crack the sky, showing a twisting blackness beyond the rifts and warping the checkerboard pattern that had always been there. When the semblance of true and lasting night came to the land, Shooter into the dark until she at last found some semblance of the old world, the crumbling ruins...

And through the emotion Mato had awakened in her, she would weep - but her eyes would make no tears, for they were not designed for them. In her own way, without she spoken language of man which had been brought to her...she called out, cried out, for everything she'd known before - even that which she'd known to be dangerous. She called out for what was dear to her. She called for Dead Master.

With the last shreds of her strength and hope, she called for Mato.

No one answered.

Day returned only briefly, growing dimmer and dimmer with each cycle. Shooter hunted down the corrupted fighters where she could, and tried to appeal to those she precious few she recognized, but even she knew it to be a useless cause. She destroyed them time and again, learning with horror that she could not truly put them to rest. More and more, suspected the corruption would only spread - that all the strength she could marshal against it was useless.

And as the hatred in her began to deepen, to spread into a form she could not recognize save the hunger and madness she saw in fellows, she began to suspect that it was only a matter of time before she was claimed as well.

The deep and starless darkness above her soon took on the power and quality of a void, instilling one with the feeling of being drawn up toward it, great and terrible into nothing. Not long after that, she saw the last struggle of the dim light that belonged in this world: the final cycle of day.

In her heart, she knew that what was truly behind this would show itself soon. Whatever came now, she would stand and fight - even if there was no hope, even if her strength could not see her through. Once before, with Mato, she'd fought for something that mattered. With the humanity left in her, she yearned for that union again, hoped the final hope that if they could somehow reunite, they could accomplish together what Shooter alone could not.

If that was to be, there wasn't a lot of time left to accomplish it.

And so Shooter returned to the depths of the dark, in pursuit of her last hope.

The Personality:
OVA as a base. She has much stronger 'evil' tendencies (to coin a phrase) than her canon counterpart; much more likely to start combat for its own sake, bringing her type closer to Gold Saw. When a given person catches her interest, she will stalk them in order to observe them, and in particular cases isn't opposed to getting all up in their space, even (especially!) in manners that might be seen as unwelcome or hostile.

(It's kinduva running thing - in a positive way, be assured - among those that have played against her that she is a serious creepr. |D)

The big thing about my Shooter is that she very much Does What She Wants: a True Neutral type with tendencies both evil and good. If she wants to fight you, she'll fight you; if she wants to creep, she'll creep; if she wants to stalk, she'll stalk. (In an IC sense, of course; OOCly it's always with permission of the other players.) This can go the other way too: if she wants to protect you, she'll protect you, and she'll help if she pleases. She can save your life or leave you to die, and her reasons are her own.

What makes her True Neutral and not Chaotic Neutral, IMO, is the fact that she's not totally prone to random impulse and is in fact capable of thinking ahead. Whether or not she does this often is another matter, but so far, her urges - while certainly random at times - are not necessarily wholly destructive. Most of the time she does her own thing and goes off on her own, minding her own business and not necessarily getting involved in that of others. But if she should decide, on her own accord, that she wants to jump right in...

Considering that, she might well be Chaotic Neutral after all; while she's not necessarily an active or energetic presence, she *is* very much about her individual freedom and doing her own thing. She takes offense to even the suggestion of being controlled and if you so much as try it, prepare for battle. (You can ask, but it's important that you not command; she distinguishes between the two and even if she agrees with you, she might well fight you on principle - even in a dangerous situation where it would be unwise.)

On that note, she seems to have a streak of volatility in her and does not seem to well-accept the concept of taking no for an answer. Careful communication is often necessary.

*Powers*
Always On: Superhuman strength, agility, and endurance. Able to jump - and fall from - great heights without harm; for that matter, being able to withstand (and despite her appearance, potentially inflict) damage that would drop normal humans, even particularly hardy ones.

3x Daily: At-will manifestation of the Rock Cannon, which appears to provide its own ammunition. Headcanon says the rock bullets are ordinarily strong enough to easily shred through buildings and the like: the destructive power equal to explosive rockets with controllable splash. (For Bastion's purposes, the offensive punch of this weapon can be weakened, requiring prolonged barrages to achieve the same effect..) Additionally, the Rock Cannon can transfigure itself into a spiked form, more suitable for melee; for purposes of daily uses, I would this as separate from the cannon's manifestation.

Entry: She's quite capable of taking care of herself, barring overwhelming odds; even weakened, I'd wager she could arrive at the Bastion on her own, and no worse for the wear.
