- You describe Maka as distrustful and cold, while in canon Maka is pretty much the opposite of that. We do allow for some differences based on events that have happened in the AU being apped from, but we feel that any AU character should still be easily recognizable as the same person. There just isn't anything in this application to justify a complete 180 in Maka's personality.
- You described Maka's insecurities pretty well, but Maka is actually shown to be a very confident person, with the insecurities eating away at that confidence at certain points in canon. We would like to see more of a focus on Maka's confidence, since that particular character trait is displayed more predominantly than the insecurities are.
- While you did make some mention to Maka and Soul's relationship in the application, we would like to see this more clearly detailed. As a meister/weapon pair, Maka and Soul are very important parts of each other's lives, and swapping their genders could potentially affect how they interact. If there is no change in how they interact with each other then you can say that, but we want this clearly stated at some point in the AU section of the application.
